Enterprise Security with Decentralized Responsibility

We prioritize the safety of your data

One Data empowers you to establish consistent enterprise security and governance, ensuring secure access to your data assets and data products. Safeguard your data with comprehensive roles and rights management. Data products published in your Data Product Marketplace can only be accessed with the appropriate permissions, while clear ownership of data assets and data products guarantees the quality and reliability of your data offerings. Integrated roles and rights management ensures standardized authorization on your terms.

One Data supports standard authentication through SAML and the integration of external directory services like LDAP. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) are also available through SAML 2.0.

With One Data, you gain granular control over your data products, enabling you to define and enforce data policies, standards, and guidelines that align with your business objectives. One Data’s interactive Data Map serves as a central user interface, simplifying the process of establishing data governance frameworks. This allows you to define roles, responsibilities, and data product ownership within your organization effortlessly.

You can easily track and monitor data product lineage, ensuring transparency and accountability at every step.

Setting the gold standard for operational excellence

One Data is optimized to operate on distributed systems, requiring a Kubernetes cluster for a successful implementation.

One Data is initiated and managed through the cluster. In modern software deployments, it supports the automation of deployment, scaling, and the management of our containerized application. Kubernetes’ multi-cloud capability allows for continuous integration, deployment, and rapid delivery of new releases, whether in on-premises infrastructure or deployments across any public or private cloud provider’s infrastructure.

Setting up your technical environment for One Data

To begin building and maintaining data products with One Data, you’ll need a Kubernetes cluster.

You will need to provide us with a K8s server (minimum version 1.21.10), AWS EKS, or Azure AKS. For a stable runtime environment, the K8s cluster should consist of at least 4 nodes, each with 4 vCPUs and 32 GB RAM. One Data’s built-in processing steps require persistent file storage of at least 1024 GB, preferably with persistent volumes set to read-write many (RWX). With minimal effort, you can embark on your data product journey within hours. We provide you with best practice installation steps to scale your One Data application.

We recommend SSD/premium storage for your production systems. Having ownership of the Kubernetes cluster provides you with flexibility tailored to your specific requirements and infrastructure preferences. One Data experts are available to assist you in setting up your Kubernetes cluster, and we offer ongoing support. We can also assist in estimating your efforts for a K8s concept, planning, and infrastructure setup. These are the minimum requirements. Please reach out to our team for a specific discussion about your environment.

Supported by a team of experts

Our experts support you during the One Data installation process on your provided K8s cluster, leveraging its features for optimal performance. With access to your K8s cluster granted over the internet, deployment and image updates can be seamlessly pulled into your One Data application. One Data can be installed either through automated pipelines or manually via Helm on your Kubernetes cluster. Additionally, One Data is available on cloud platforms through Azure AKS and AWS EKS*.

Security on your terms

To guarantee secure data exchange across the vast expanse of the internet, we employ TLS certificates. These certificates can be provided to internal or third-party authorities for signing, or they can be self-signed within your organization. You are responsible for providing us with the certificate to complete the hostname validation.

Implementing One Data

Our team of One Data experts can assist you in setting up automated deployment pipelines for One Data installation and updates, or they can handle the installation process entirely on your Kubernetes cluster, providing ongoing support. Benefit from our expertise in application deployment, monitoring, scaling, and troubleshooting, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
